Law of Attraction: Emotional Blocks

download (4)Emotional blockages are created by past negative experiences, unresolved emotions, self-defeating behaviours/patterns and self-limiting beliefs which are counter intentions that contribute to self-sabotage. They act as a defense mechanism to deal with deep emotional pain experienced in traumatic, destructive, and dysfunctional situations ranging from the loss of a loved one, betrayal, abuse, rejection, and so on.

How emotional blockages manifest in your life

Unfelt or suppressed emotions like anger, resentment, and guilt are dense emotions and block our energy. The emotional body is magnetic and holds on to suppressed emotions until you allow them to move, by expressing them. Unless released these emotions hinder you from raising your vibrational frequencies and can result in physical manifestations like chronic pain, anxiety, migraines, ulcers, and other forms of illness. A healthy emotional body vibrates and attracts light, which is what raises consciousness.

Triggers activate undesirable feelings like anger, fear, hurt, sadness etc. from past experiences that have been repressed. You may be triggered by a person, a situation, song, smell, color, etc.  For instance, when triggered by anger you may deflect your feelings and blame another or the situation. When you react to a trigger, it is a fear-based reaction and fear has a low vibrational frequency. Most often people react in anger even if what they feel is fear; they do this to protect themselves from feeling hurt. For most people anger becomes the primary defense mechanism. It is necessary to move anger (and other negative emotions), a dense energy out of your physical and emotional body in order to attract positive experiences.

How the mind works

The mind is divided into three parts: conscious, subconscious, and unconscious mind.

The conscious mind is responsible for critical, analytical, and logical thinking. It stores temporary memory. The subconscious mind is where all of our emotions, beliefs, memories, and experiences are stored, this is our emotional mind. The unconscious mind is responsible for our behaviors and our body’s automatic responses which are influenced by the subconscious and unconscious mind. In order to resolve some of our deeper issues we need to release the ‘but’ (voice of the conscious mind) and explore what’s behind it (in the subconscious mind)

The Clearing Process

The clearing process begins with awareness, honesty, and openness.

It dispels the toxic emotions responsible for emotional blocks and alleviates unhealthy stress levels. It increases awareness of what you are experiencing and creates space allowing you to choose how you want to act/react to situations. This process allows you to: become mindful of your thoughts and feelings, gaining power over them; free yourself to pursue what you truly desire in life; work toward your highest potential and become the person you want to be.

The process is complete when we reach a state of acceptance, forgiveness, willingness to release and make peace with the past and ourselves (stop identifying with it).

Clearing emotional blocks involves work on all aspects of our being:

  • Body – deep relaxation through breath
  • Mind (conscious/intellect) – through awareness
  • Emotion (subconscious/feelings) – through acceptance
  • Behavior (unconscious/automatic response) – through experiencing a shift
  • Spiritual (transformation) – through observing and witnessing the effects of the learning in our life

Clearing emotional blocks helps:

  • Resolve past negative experiences and all (negative) associations with it
  • Break unproductive habits, behaviors and beliefs
  • Overcome anxiety and fear
  • Transform relationships
  • Stop negative thinking
  • Experience mind-body connection

Update on Hurricane Florence

Well, I made it through Hurricane Florence safe and sound, but unfortunately; my apartment was completely flooded!  I want to break down and cry about losing everything that I own, but somehow I have managed to keep it together.  I am taking it day by day right now.  I just wanted to update you guys to let you know that I, and all of my friends and family are safe from the Hurricane.

Isn’t it funny how you tend to take things for granted, like electricity, food, water, and basic supplies, until you suddenly don’t have them anymore.  I have also noticed that everyone in my community is pulling together and helping each other out.  People are donating food, water and supplies as well as helping remove trees and debris from neighbors yards and driveways.  It is unfortunate that it takes a devastating Hurricane to bring us all together, but nevertheless, we are all in this together.

The pictures below show some of the devastation being felt throughout my community.  I have also included some pictures of the first responders and their efforts to rescue as many people as possible during the storm.  However, please do not feel sorry or bad for us because we will get through this tradgedy and become a stronger community because of it!!

 

 

Hurricane Florence

I have decided to stay instead of evacuating since I do not live directly on the beach or waterway, but we are still expected to get massive amounts of rainfall and storm surge.  I have been through several Hurricane’s in the past, but they are saying that this one is catastrophic.  Please, pray for us!

Vibrational Alignment

download (11)So, over the weekend I did quite a bit of researching and reading on what keeps most of us (including myself) from being able to manifest our desires.  And I discovered that it is not because we are not deserving, or nice enough, or can’t hold positive thoughts long enough…nope, those are not the reasons.  The absolute reason that we cannot manifest our desires is because we are not vibrationally aligned with what we are requesting from the universe.  In other words, if we desire wealth, but we are focused on the “lack” of wealth then we are not vibrationally aligned with what we are requesting.  Instead, we must be focused on how we will “feel” when we do have all of that wealth.  That is the key to the law of attraction and being able to manifest our hearts desires.

All Requests are Immediately Answered!

When we ask, the universe will always respond!!  No exceptions!  However, if the universe is responding, but we are not open to receiving the response then to us it seems like our requests are not being answered.  But, that could not be further from the truth.  Everyone’s requests are answered immediately, but we are only able to receive the response if we are open to receiving and vibrationally aligned with our request.

I just wanted to post this information really quick, so that hopefully it will help you guys understand how to be successful at manifesting your hearts desires.  I will post more on “how” to get vibrationally aligned with your desires in my next post.  Thanks for reading and have a wonderful day!

The 7 Chakras

images (5)In my quest to discover exactly what it takes to manifest my heart’s desires I have discovered some pretty interesting information.  Did you know that we are all just a ball of energy?  Weird, right!  But it’s true, we all have seven different chakras located inside of us, and each chakra has its own vibrational frequency, color and specific functions that it governs.

A “chakra” by definition is, energy centers within the human body that help to regulate all its processes, from organ function to the immune system and emotions.

Each of the seven chakras are positioned within our body from the base of our spine to the crown of our head.  Here is a list of all seven chakras and location, color and specific functions it governs.

  • Root (1st) — Base of the spine; red; governs survival instincts, grounding.
  • Sacral (2nd) — Lower abdomen; orange; governs sexuality, intuition, self-worth/self-esteem.
  • Solar Plexus (3rd) — Upper abdomen; yellow; governs impulse control, ego.
  • Heart (4th) — Center of the chest; green; governs compassion, spirituality.
  • Throat (5th) — Throat; blue; governs communication, emotion.
  • Third Eye (6th) — Between the eyes; purple; governs rationality, wisdom, imagination.
  • Crown (7th) — Top of the head; indigo; governs connection with the Divine.

The ability of your energy centers (chakras) to function optimally is what keeps you psychologically, emotionally, physically, and spiritually balanced.  Anytime a chakra becomes blocked, underactive or overactive, it can throw you off balance physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually.

More often than not, our chakras become unbalanced due to daily life pressures and the way that we handle them.  However, if your chakras are out of balance, overactive or underactive you can perform a cleansing technique called “energy healing” (see post on energy healing) to remove the blockage and/or negativity, and by doing that you will restore the chakra to its optimal balance.

Our bodies will tell us if our chakras are out of balance, overactive or underactive by exhibiting specific symptoms related to the unbalanced chakra.  Below is a description of how you may feel if a chakra is overactive and/or underactive.

Root Chakra

Overactive
Fearful, nervous, insecure, or ungrounded; materialistic or greedy; resistant to change

Underactive
Lacking a sense of being at home or secure anywhere, codependent, unable to get into one’s body, fearful of abandonment

Sacral Chakra

Overactive
Overemotional, very quick to attach and invest in others, attracted to drama, moody, lacking personal boundaries

Underactive
Stiff, unemotional, closed off to others, lacking self-esteem or self-worth, possibly in an abusive relationship

Navel (Solar Plexus) Chakra

Overactive
Domineering, aggressive, angry, perfectionistic or overly critical of oneself or others

Underactive
Passive, indecisive, timid, lacking self-control

Heart Chakra

Overactive
Loving in a clingy, suffocating way; lacking a sense of self in a relationship; willing to say yes to everything; lacking boundaries, letting everyone in

Underactive
Cold, distant, lonely, unable or unwilling to open up to others, grudgeful

Throat Chakra

Overactive
Overly talkative, unable to listen, highly critical, verbally abusive, condescending

Underactive
Introverted, shy, having difficulty speaking the truth, unable to express needs

Third Eye Chakra

Overactive
Out of touch with reality, lacking good judgment, unable to focus, prone to hallucinations

Underactive
Rigid in thinking, closed off to new ideas, too reliant on authority, disconnected or distrustful of inner voice, anxious, clinging to the past and fearful of the future

Crown Chakra

Overactive
Addicted to spirituality, heedless of bodily needs, having difficulty controlling emotions

Underactive
Not very open to spirituality, unable to set or maintain goals, lacking direction

Each of the chakras are associated with specific glands and organs in our body, and when they become unbalanced it triggers your body to exhibit specific symptoms related directly to the unbalanced chakra.  It’s pretty amazing that our body can speak to us, in the form of symptoms, as a way to alert us that a chakra is out of balance.  Below is a list of the glands and/or organs that each chakra is associated with and the symptoms you may experience if it becomes unbalanced.

Root Chakra

Associated Endocrine Glands & Organs
Adrenal glands, spine, blood, and reproductive organs

Physical Symptoms of Unbalance
Inability to sit still, restlessness, unhealthy weight (either obesity or eating disorder), constipation, cramps, fatigue or sluggishness

Sacral Chakra

Associated Endocrine Glands & Organs
Kidneys and reproductive organs: ovaries, testes, and uterus

Physical Symptoms of Unbalance
Lower-back pain or stiffness, urinary issues, kidney pain or infection, infertility, impotence

Navel (Solar Plexus) Chakra

Associated Endocrine Glands & Organs
Central nervous system, digestive system (stomach and intestines), liver, pancreas, metabolic system

Physical Symptoms of Unbalance
Ulcers, gas, nausea, or other digestive problems; eating disorders; asthma or other respiratory ailments; nerve pain or fibromyalgia; infection in the liver or kidneys; other organ problems

Heart Chakra

Associated Endocrine Glands & Organs
Thymus gland and immune system, heart, lungs, breasts, arms, hands

Physical Symptoms of Unbalance
Heart and circulatory problems (high blood pressure, heart palpitations, heart attack), poor circulation or numbness, asthma or other respiratory ailments, breast cancer, stiff joints or joint problems in the hands

Throat Chakra

Associated Endocrine Glands & Organs
Thyroid, neck, throat, shoulders, ears, and mouth

Physical Symptoms of Unbalance
Stiffness or soreness in the neck or shoulders, sore throat, hoarseness or laryngitis, earaches or infection, dental issues or TMJ, thyroid issues

Third Eye Chakra

Associated Endocrine Glands & Organs
Pituitary, eyes, brow, base of skull, biorhythms

Physical Symptoms of Unbalance
Vision problems, headaches or migraines, insomnia or sleep disorders, seizures, nightmares (though this isn’t a physical symptom per se, it is a common occurrence)

Crown Chakra

Associated Endocrine Glands & Organs
Pituitary and pineal glands, brain, hypothalamus, cerebral cortex, central nervous system

Physical Symptoms of Unbalance
Dizziness, confusion, mental fog, neurological disorders, nerve pain, schizophrenia or other mental disorders

Law of Attraction in daily life

Okay, now that we have briefly explained what each of the fundamental laws that combine to create the law of attraction we can start to implement them into our daily lives.  Although this sounds easy and straightforward, I am still unsure where and how to start.

I think I will begin by constantly reminding myself that my thoughts create my reality! I am also going to make a conscience effort to practice believing in my desires and that I am worthy of receiving what the universe has to offer me.

I feel like those are two very important tools to master before I will ever see proof that the law of attraction works.  So, I will check in daily and update you on my progress, and I promise to be 100% honest and upfront about my personal findings.  My hope is that someone will read this at the exact moment that they are needing to and that my post will help them to get aligned with their true self so that they can also experience the peace, harmony and total happiness that can be experienced when you learn to be true to yourself.

Law of Attraction…does it work?

So, lately I have been reading up on ‘the law of attraction’ and I found that this stuff is actually pretty interesting.  As I have always been a believer of ‘karma’ and that one should live an honest and fulfilling life.  But, lately I have been feeling sort of stagnant and bored with my life, so I decided to give this law of attraction thing a go and see how it works out.  Later I will post my plan of action, but for now I wanted to expand on what the actual laws of attraction are and how we can implement them into our daily lives.

I did find out that there are seven fundamental laws of attraction, and they are:

1) The Law of Manifestation:images (5)

As I understand it, this law says that if you concentrate your thoughts on what you are lacking, you will only manifest more negativity.  But, if you concentrate on the things that bring you joy and happiness then you will manifest more happiness in your life.

 

2) The Law of Magnetism:

Ok, this one can be a little tricky.  But my interpretation for this law is that “like attracts like”.  If you are mad, sad, or angry that is what you will attract from the universe.  If you are happy, content, and grateful that is what you will get in return from the universe.  Does that make sense?  So, remember always try to steer yourself away from the negative thoughts because they will only cause you to attract more negativity into your life.

3) The Law of Pure Desire (or Unwavering Desire):

This law says that you must believe that you are worthy of receiving what you desire.  You must not let any doubts creep into your thoughts about your desire.  For pure desire is knowing that you are deserving and that it will happen.

 

4) The Law of Paradoxical Intent (or Delicate Balance):

The Law Of Paradoxical Intent points out the underlying paradox of personal achievement: That you can get what you want as long as you know that you are happy without it.  In other words, pursue your desires not because your life will suck without them, but because you want them to enhance your already happy life.

5) The Law of Harmony (or Synchronization):download

Have you ever wondered what we are all actually striving towards in this life?  The answer is harmony.  Everyone is striving for the same things, harmony and balance.  To put it simply, harmony is the flow of life.

6) The Law of Right Action (or Conscientious Action):

This law simply says, do unto others as you wish to have done to you!  Easy enough, right?

7) The Law of Expanding Influence (or Universal Influence):

To me, this law says that we should use our powers of influence to educate and help others, so that they too can raise their vibration.  As a whole universe if we all raise our vibration then the whole universes’ total vibration will also be raised.
